Some thoughts on cycling and life…
It is often said: "Either read or travel, the body and soul must always be on the road."
It is often said: "Either read or travel, the body and soul must always be on the road."
But as an insignificant ordinary person, in this "impulsive age" and "impulsive era", under the triple pressure of trivial and annoying work, the burden of life, and the growth of age, it is not easy to calm down and read a book or go on a trip...
I remember when I was in college, I often used winter and summer vacations to travel.
"The afterglow of the setting sun sprinkled on the mountains, the ancient trees in Xiaoyao Valley were towering, the monkeys were calling, the streams were flowing, the exotic flowers and plants, and the strange rocks were standing. The dark and silent night made people both desperate and peaceful. The halo of sunrise was faintly in the clouds, and the monks were dancing swords on the edge of the cliff..."
The two-day trip to Wudang Mountain was quite meaningful to cleanse the world in my heart! I still can't forget it!
Now, after working for many years, I haven’t read much, haven’t walked far, and I have to admit that I am bound by work…
“Freedom” is probably a cry from the depths of my soul…
Fortunately, in the loneliness and desolation of the past, I have cultivated some hobbies that I still maintain today—cycling, swimming, mountain climbing, running, reading, writing, and guitar. With their company, I have survived countless “dark moments” of my own…
But remember: “As long as you are willing to pursue the light in your heart, there will always be something that can make you smile. Those things have actually been waiting for you, but you just haven’t looked for them.”
I fell in love with cycling in junior high school.
One night by chance, I rode my old bicycle home alone. When I lay on the grass to rest, I looked up at the starry sky. Suddenly, I seemed to be flying across the starry sky. In my memory, my legs seemed to be walking among the stars, and my feet seemed to be stepping on endless void...
I would like to walk forever, but I have to return to this world.
Maybe that was the first time I realized what ideal and reality are!
In short: riding is beautiful, but also not beautiful. It is lonely, but not lonely!
I am willing to ride in the sunshine and breeze, ride in the mountains and forests, and look for good scenery in "no place to find"...
Just to see and feel the beauty and magic brought by nature throughout the year during the journey, and the "soul" is released and sublimated again and again in the process of pedaling.
I wonder if you have ever felt the novelty of "looking back suddenly, the scenery is in the dim lights"...
